Roy was part of my childhood. Among my fond memories of Roy as I grew up were him taking me to the pictures to watch cowboy films; the big boxes of crisps he bought home from the bakery at Cook Street Gate; installing electricity at 23 Croft Road; playing tennis at Spencer Park on Sunday mornings, along with parties at his first house in Bramble Street. His love of cricket stayed with him to the end, a fine innings! With love always David and Jenny.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
